As you have noted in recent weeks, the Guild Wars economy has become much more stable. With the release of the Sorrow's Furnace Update on September 7, we will be making a number of important economic and balance changes. Many things will become significantly easier to acquire, including skill points and skills. But the gold cost of learning a skill from a trainer will be somewhat more expensive for most players.

I'd like more of an explanation about the skill points and skills being easier to acquire, not exactly difficult to get at the moment are they ? And why make skills more expensive to buy ? Do they want us to go out and get loads of SoC's or what ?

I'm assuming as much since he looks like a Mole, the file name is molebrutea.gif, he lives underground, and Guild Wars uses mostly Beastmen (IE: Tengu, Forgotten, Grawl, etc) instead of the traditional Orcs and Goblins for it's humanoid monsters.

I think perhaps some are abusing the ability to change the secondary class in the desert later in the game and it is just another in a long line of their "punish the whole for the acts of a few policy" they are so flagrant with.

Or they can be rebalacing skill accusition so it is one less part getting EXP and one more part paying Gold so that it involves less EXP grind on top of becoming a better moneysink.

Not everyone needs Fissure Armor, not everyone needs Dwarven Ale, or other means of taking the money OUT of the game.

People need skills though.

If anything, this might make getting a solid amount of skills with a single profession switching character easier than it's ever been.

I heard that money will be more abundant and more in quantity now. Also, they are making the skill trainers' skills cost more.. But so what...SF and Grenths Footprint are like FoW and UW? Will you have to pay and will they be places you can travel to by mapping there?

Ease of Accessibility – The journey through Grenth's Footprint and Sorrow's Furnace will not be easy, but entering the area will be! There is no restriction on timing, nor is there a cost to visit the region. Enter if you dare!
That question should be answered ^^

Yo money shouldent be more plentiful! I have 354k and i made it fair and square in 200 hrs of playing. No farming, no solo uw monk, just buyin and sellin weapons. I personally was holdin out till there was gonna be more skill points, and i dont care if i waste 354k on skills alone, thats what i saved it for

Care to elaborate on how you think changing secondaries is abusing anything? I'm curious as to why you think this, because I don't see anything abusable about it.

I use it to get around refund points in some cases. Say I need 10 heal, no refund, but got 10 smite. Change to new 2nd class. Move it back to monk. Instant refund.

Of course it does not work if the point you need is in primary atts.

My .02.

I don't think ANet design the switching for that purpose.

Tamer's Whip (Beastmastery)

Hunting Knife (Expertise)

Druidic Staff (Wilderness Survival)
